Studio AW

Architecture & interior design, Paris

Studio AW homepage

Studio AW is a Paris architecture and interior design studio working across residential, artistic, and volumetric commissions for local and international clients.

An architecture studio's best sales tool is its finished work, but a generic portfolio template flattens every project into the same grid. No distinction between an interior fit-out, a sculptural installation, and a full building volume, when the pitch to a client depends on showing exactly that range.

  • Four categorised project galleries

Interior, Artistic, Volumes, and Horizons each get their own layout pacing and visual treatment, instead of one grid template applied uniformly across completely different kinds of work.

  • Modal case studies

Project detail opens in place without leaving the grid, so browsing the full portfolio stays uninterrupted instead of a click-through-and-back loop.

  • Bilingual EN/FR

Full navigation and project copy in both languages, built for a Paris studio pitching to local and international clients side by side.

Architecture portfolios live or die on restraint. Pure black and white, with a single warm-grey neutral for supporting text, gets out of the way of the project photography entirely. It's the same discipline the studio applies to its own built work, applied to how that work gets shown.

Why architecture studios can't use a template in 2026

Architecture sells on restraint and detail, the same qualities a templated portfolio builder actively works against. A custom-built site is the only way the site itself demonstrates the same design judgment being pitched to the client.
