Keramiko is a ceramics studio and shop in central Copenhagen, running wheel-throwing and hand-building classes alongside a paid studio membership program and an online shop selling finished pieces and supplies, in Danish and English.
Amelia (the booking plugin) and WooCommerce (the shop) each do their own job well, but neither knows the other exists. Amelia has no concept of a prepaid "hour credit," and WooCommerce has no concept of a class schedule. Before this site, staff were tracking who'd paid for what, who'd shown up, and whose piece was glazed and ready for pickup across a mix of spreadsheets and memory. Nothing in Amelia's own dashboard reflected any of it.
-
Bilingual booking engine
Real-time class schedules in Danish and English, synced to actual studio capacity, with no double-bookings. 372 bookings from 107 customers tracked since March 2026.
-
Workshop Participants plugin (custom PHP)
Amelia and WooCommerce both feed a single admin dashboard: who booked, who attended, whose piece is glazed, whose piece is picked up. Handles multi-template pickup emails, a self-service 30-minute pickup slot booker for customers, and a calendar view of every pickup and workshop attendance for the day, none of which exists in Amelia or WooCommerce on their own.
-
Studio Hours Manager (custom PHP)
Members buy hour packages through WooCommerce; hours deduct automatically the moment a class is booked in Amelia and refund on cancellation. The plugin also writes the purchase back into Amelia's own package tables, so the studio's native Amelia panel shows the correct balance too. Amelia has no built-in way to sell or track prepaid credits, so without this bridge every purchase would need manual reconciliation.
-
Staff-synced pickup scheduling
Pickup windows follow a real staff member's actual Amelia calendar (hours, days off, special days) instead of a fixed weekly schedule that goes stale the first time someone takes a day off.
-
Automated email orchestration
An n8n workflow sits on top of the plugin's own endpoints to handle booking and hour-package emails, so notifications fire reliably without depending on WordPress's own outgoing mail.

The navy carries the wordmark and most of the copy. It reads studio-professional rather than craft-fair rustic, which matters for a business selling classes at a real price point, not a hobby stall. The rose accent flags buttons and prices against a warm cream background closer to raw clay and kiln tones than a sterile white shop. Bebas Neue's tall, condensed caps read like gallery or workshop signage, a nod to a space people actually walk into, not just browse.
Why creative studios need more than social media in 2026
A studio's Instagram can show the work, but it can't take a booking at 11pm on a Sunday, hold a waitlist, or remember a member has three classes left on their pass. A dedicated site turns "DM us to book" into a system that runs itself.
